I just got my website made.... usin dreamweaver.... bought the domain and got a bitchin deal of 3 yrs server for 100 quid with

better than the other shitty servers goin for 50 quid a year. AWESOME DEAL- BEST ONLINE!
plus i got 75 quids worth of free advertisin- 25 for google ads with this deal!!!...
SO - as i was sayin, every thin is groovy, got the site sorted... all html done etc... domain eg. and 3 years of server- all the links are great, its all tip-top .
I click on Sites on dreamweaver.... up at the top.
(sorry nav down to ftp bit- for more exp. users)
navigate to my site name folder....
double click it- OPENS THE SITE DEFINITION.
on basic - first page is the folder of your site.... ( so put in your folder name) ....part below... HTTP part.... is your address
eg. http://www.rightbae.com/
ain't up yet- still workin on it- by he way!!!!!
click next to go to Site Def. (leave it at No for server technology- take it you don't have a server of your own)
how do you want to work.... you want to click edit local copies on my machine, then upload to server.
NEXT- is the import. part AND VERY CONFUSIN first time round for novices.
How do you connect- choose FTP (file transfer protocol)
what is the ftp of your remote server- put in your DOMAIN address.....
mine is www.rightbae.com
what folder on the server to put your files in: ...... public_html
( i have this folder with my server domain)
what is your FTP login **** this you have got from registering your domain at
http://stats.justhost.com/track?ce154cd239d9cb1ec5f613c22e3f8086f
along with your FTP password.
( THEY WILL EMAIL THIS TO YOU WHEN YOU BUY 3 YEARS SERVER OR WHATEVER)
so check your email to make sure you got the right FTP login and password.... in case you got probs.
okay now
YOU PRESS TEST........ THEN SOMETHIN SHITTY HAPPENS------- SAYS
An FTP error occurred - cannot make connection to host... dreamweaver could not connect because the server is down or not accepting connections.
OKAY DON'T PANIC.....
took me all day to sort this out, while i was bein chased about for to have the site online.
IT TAKES 24 HRS for DNS servers to propagate---- which means you have to wait till the domain and servers are ready to upload to. (normally it is 24hrs, can be up too 72)
you have to wait- eat some food, watch t.v. then go back and upload it with ftp to the server domain.
PHEW!!!!!.....
I nearly was jumpin up and down there... panicin and gettin pissed off, with what was goin wrong.
Be patient... then upload it.... IT WILL WORK!!!!
ANYMORE PROBS GET BACK TO ME.- I'LL UPDATE THIS IN A BIT
